I need to train; but does anyone out there do long distance running? and know any tips? I am up to about 7.5 miles on my long runs, but my hips pop afterwards. What am I doing wrong? I really need as much help as possible b/c I had knee surgery 10 years ago and I need ways to minimize the impact of running on my longevity of walking. Are there specific exercises to strengthen muscles around the hips?

Remember this…
The bike training will help your run. The run training does nothing for your bike.
To strengthen your hips, get involved with yoga. I know, most guys sneer at this…but it’s true. Yoga does wonders for triathletes. Things shouldn’t be popping…
